Goodbye To A Legend

 Chavo Guerrero Sr. January 7, 1949 - February 11, 2017

Today I'm heartbroken to hear about the passing of Chavo Guerrero Sr. My condolences go out to Chavor Jr. and the entire Guerrero family.

In the world of lucha libre the connection to Japanese wrestling is undeniable. Men and women have battled from the land of the rising sun to south of the board, delighting fans with their skills and unforgettable characters. Arguable one of the most successful men that have helped build this connection is Chavo Guerrero. Chavo had many ring wars over the NWA International Junior Heavyweight Championship in the U.S., Mexico, and Japan.

In 1982 Guerrero defeanded his title against former champion, Atsushi Onita. This is the match that made me a Chavo Classic fan.

The Legend of Chavo Guerrero - The Mountain Goats

"Today the world lost a true rebel. He did things "HIS" way. Not always right, not always wrong, but He always followed what he believed in. He was diagnosed with Liver Cancer in early January of this year. As believer in Christ Jesus, he is now in Paradise. Today is a Sad day in the Guerrero Family.
