Dates & Places

We have already made a few stops on the Mr. Bad Example tour. The Halloween Arts Harvest was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to do it again next year. We also had a blast at Days of the Dead: Chicago, but there are still few to look forward to in 2014.

Feb. 7th - 9th, 2014 Days of the Dead - Atlanta, GA.

Mar. 1st, 2014 River City Festival of Films - Owensboro, KY. https://www.facebook.com/TRCFF

I want to set up more dates in 2014.  I'm still interested in setting something up for the Nashville and St. Louis ares. A few dates and events have been talked about, but nothing is confirmed.

Here are some pictures from my recent trip to Chicago for my Days of the Dead signing:

Meeting Twiggy (Goon Moon, Marilyn Manson, NIN, A Perfect Circle)

I hope to be able to have more pictures and announce more dates soon!

I Guess I'll Do NaNoWriMo Again

Here is my quick note on NaNoWriMo 2013:
There are a few reason I didn't want to do NaNoWriMo this year.

1.) I write all year. I don't need NaNoWriMo to motivate me.
2.) I've already done it and I've already won.
3.) I don't have a lot of free time.

I had to make time. I made that time to do some work on my next book. I didn't count the words, but I made serious progress. I eventually noticed the word count, and I'm almost half way there. I might as well keep going.

I support NaNoWriMo. I like what it is all about. I don't need it, but it helps me get my stories out, and I'm happy to take part in it again.

Chroniclebooks.com had a good thing to say about not having enough time to write. I've posted it below, with a link to the full article. Enjoy!
“I’m too busy.”
This is good. You want to be busy when you write the first draft of a novel. Having a limited amount of time helps you be less critical of your prose, which in turn helps you get more writing done and have a better time doing it. Also, when you’re slammed, your novel becomes a refuge from the chaos of the rest of your life—a secret world you get to escape to at the end of a long day.

If you are doing NaNoWriMo, good luck! If it's not for you, I understand. I just hope this year produces some very cool books!
