Books, Booze, and Beyond

I'm teaming with Books & Booze to give away a FREE copy of Mr. Bad Example. Check out the new episode for all of the details and an incredible interview with Chuck Wendig.

I'm also happy to announce that I'll be a guest on the Books and Booze podcast. I have been an avid listen to B & B for a while. They have had some incredible guest and I'm proud to be invited to be on the show.

Check out the Books and Booze website. Listen to previous episodes and check out the ad for Mr. Bad Example. I've posted a link below and I'll be sure to post the link to my episode when it's available.

In other news, I have decided that I will not be doing any more horror conventions. I love my convention friends and family, but these shows are not good for books sales. I hope to still hang out with these great people. I just won't be there in a professional capacity.

Mr. Bad Example is not a horror book. I don't have any plans to release a horror book, until I'm able to release TERMS. TERMS is not a straight horror book though. It is more of a drama/ slasher.

I am going to focus on book stores and other book events. I would like to set up some signings in the same towns and nights of some horror conventions. This would give my con friends a chance to attend and give me a chance to party with my convention family.

I've added an Appearances tab at the top of this page. Check back for more events and signing dates. I hope to have more to announce in early 2014!

Recommended Reading

I was asked to list 10 books that I have read that have "stayed with me" through the years and then tag ten friends to do the same. I'm not going to tag anyone on this blog, but I thought I should share the list here.

Here it is:

1. On The Road by Jack Kerouac
2. the perks of being a wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
3. Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk
4. Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis
5. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
6. Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut
7. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
8. Savages by Don Winslow
9.The Bus Driver Who Wanted to Be God & Other Stories by Etgar Keret
10. IV A Decade of Curious People and Dangerous Ideas by Chuck Klosterman

I already had a few listed on my book recommendations list, but I've edited the list. I had to add a few. I also removed some that haven't stuck with me. Check these books out if you haven't read them already.
