The picture above is from the film Meateater, from Darkrider Studios, based on my shot story Contravention.

I am really excited about this project and I look forward to seeing the finished product. I wasn't able to be on set for the filming of this movie, but I have faith in my friends at Darkrider Studios. It means a lot to me to see one of my stories turned into a movie. It also means a lot to me that my good friend Brandon Bennett has a cameo role too.

Stay tuned for more details on this film and future film projects, and if you want to check out the story that inspired this movie, it can be found in my book Eclectic Collection.

Speaking of movies...I have seen a lot of Top 10 Movies and Worst 10 Movies of 2010 lists. I didn't really have a chance to watch very many new movies this past year, but I made my lists, from the films I did watch!

J. Travis Grundon's Top 10 movies of 2010

1. Social Network
2. Inception
3. El Monstro Del Mar
4. Stuck (Steve Balderson)
5. Edge of Darkness
6. Toy Story 3
7. Due Date
8. Iron Man 2
9. Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day
10. The Heavy

Honorable Mention:
Devil

Movies I wanted to see in 2010:
True Grit
Black Swan
The Town
Enter The Void
&
Love and Other Drugs

Worst 5 Movies of 2010
1. Survival of the Dead
2. Alice in Wonderland
3. Daybreakers
4. Predators
5. Birdemic: Shock and Terror' (I didn't actually see all of this movie, but what I have seen makes it look like a pathetic joke. The saddest part is that the guy who made Birdemic, made it as a serious film.)

Dishonorable Mention: Every movie that looked too stupid to watch.

That's all for now!!!

Good Riddance! Fresh Start!

This past year has personally been one of the worst, and most fucked up, years of my life. It was a year of horrible loss, bad health, pain and serious personal and professional issues. The end of this past year only means the end of some of it, but it means the start of a new positive attitude.

I am happy to see 2011 and I look forward to a much better year. I've never been one for New Years Resolutions or fresh starts, just because it's a new year, but I see this year as a great time to rid my life of excessive drinking and unwelcome chaos.

My head is clear for the first time in a long time. I have found a new focus and a determination to create change and opportunity for myself. 2011 is going to be my year!

Happy New Year to everyone and I wish you all the best!!!
